UndeadChords ("we", "our", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Data Collection

Data we DO NOT collect

UndeadChords is designed with privacy in mind:

• No user accounts: No registration required
• No personal data: We don't collect your name, email or contact information
• No location: We don't access your geographic location
• No analytics or advertising tracking: We don't use cookies, analytics SDKs or advertising trackers
• No sharing: We don't sell or share any data with third parties

Data stored locally

The following data is stored only on your device:

• Your personal songs (lyrics and chords you enter yourself)
• Downloaded estimated harmony grids (chords without lyrics)
• Your preferences (language, audio settings)
• Your premium purchase status

This data is not accessible by us.

Data transmitted to our server

When using the style search feature:

• An anonymous device identifier (SHA-256 hash of your device's vendor ID) is sent for rate-limiting and abuse prevention. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally.
• Your search queries (artist name) are sent to retrieve estimated harmonies. They are not stored beyond a short-lived cache (5 minutes).
• Your account type (free or premium) is sent to apply the correct usage limits.

In-App Purchases

In-app purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We don't have access to your payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for more information.

User Content and Copyright

Content Provided by the App

The style search feature provides estimated harmonies (chord progressions) for practicing accompaniment in an artist's style. This content:

• Does not contain any copyrighted lyrics
• Uses placeholder characters (░) instead of text
• Constitutes an educational estimation tool, not a reproduction of works
• Chord progressions are not copyrightable

User Responsibility

UndeadChords allows users to create and store personal songs (lyrics and chords they enter themselves) on their device.

The user is solely responsible for:

• Content they create or enter into the application (notably lyrics)
• Compliance with copyright and intellectual property laws
• How they use the personal songs they store

Disclaimer

UndeadChords and its developers:

• Do not provide any copyrighted lyrics
• Are not responsible for content entered by users
• Do not verify or moderate personal user content
• Disclaim all liability for any copyright infringement by users

Personal and Educational Use

The application is intended for personal and educational use. Users are encouraged to:

• Only enter content they own the rights to or have permission to use
• Comply with copyright laws in their country
• Obtain necessary permissions for any commercial use

By using the application, you agree to assume full responsibility for the personal content you enter in it.

Children

UndeadChords doesn't collect any data and can be used by people of all ages.
